Everyone has a favorite B-list, or under the radar actor. This week we chose to pay homage to one of our favorites, Daniel Stern. Whether he is regaling an audience with a nostalgic anecdote during the interludes of the Wonder Years, or taking a tarantula to the face in Home Alone, Daniel Stern's presence is always indelible.

This is the first cover to feature an ink illustration. I scanned in the image and then paint-bucketed pleasing colors into some of the empty spaces.

As for the symbolism of what I drew: 1) the iron represents the one he took to the face in HA. 2) there is a tarantula in a glass case above the TV. 3) notice the crowbar toting bobble-head of Marv. 4) the folded legs are the legs of Mac Culkin, sitting back and enjoying the celebrity that Daniel Stern so graciously bestowed upon him. 5) There is an I Love Larry Bird sticker. 6) the mouse hole is for the voice-over work he did in that one cartoon about mice. 7) the dartboard is for a picture of Joe Pecsi's grinning mug.

So Daniel Stern, we salute you by letting you be the first celebrity to grace one of our covers, (sorry you had to share it with Culkin's legs and feet) Please return our e-mails.
